Summer Dean's List students named
Dr. Brian Huschle, Vice President for Academic Affairs at Mayville State University, has announced the names of the students who have been named to the Dean's List for the Summer Session of 2026. To be named to the Dean's List, a student must have attained a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and successfuly completed a minimum of 12 graded credit hours of regular academic credit from Mayville State.

The power of a welcoming community
We are in the final weeks of preparing for students to arrive for the new academic year, and we anticipate a potential housing crunch. The limited availability of housing in the community has caused many of our upper-class students, who might otherwise have lived in rental properties in the community, to seek on-campus housing.

Kambree Hauglie gains real-world experience while preparing for a future in criminal justice and counseling
Mayville State University student, Kambree Hauglie from Bismarck, N.D., is enjoying an invaluable opportunity to apply classroom knowledge in a real-world setting, while preparing for a future career in criminal justice and counseling. This experience is being made possible through a summer internship with the United States Probation and Pretrial Services Office for the District of North Dakota.

As the calendar turns to August, there is a familiar sense of anticipation on the Mayville State University campus. Residence halls will soon fill with students. Athletic teams will return to practice. Faculty and staff will be putting the finishing touches on preparations for another academic year.

Carr named head golf coach at Mayville State University
Mike Carr has been named head women’s and men’s golf coach at Mayville State University. Carr’s duties in this position will begin August 1, 2026. He is committed to providing collegiate golfers with exceptional athletic and academic experiences, while maintaining a people-first approach.
