Mayville State University’s academic year consists of two semesters.  At Mayville State, enrolling in 12 semester credits or more is full-time for undergraduate students. Undergraduate tuition and fee charges are capped at 12 credits per semester. Additional charges are not made for  undergraduate semester credits taken above 12 credits.

Mayville State University's online tuition and fees for 2025-2026 is $347.38 per credit, regardless of residency, with a cap at 12 credits enrolled charged for tuition. Books, materials, and lab kits are additional.

    I chose MSU because I’m from a small town, and I was intimidated by larger class sizes at different universities. MSU is also a lot more affordable than other places. I chose to major in science because I like seeing the parallels drawn between what I learn in class and what I see in the outside world.
