Position Information:  

Maintains boiler operation and steam generation to include, firing boilers, cycling boiler feedwater pumps, circulating pumps, tending water softeners, loading and unloading coal. Will adjust system to ensure adequate steam supply throughout campus and assist with ongoing and preventative maintenance throughout the year. Outside of heating season will perform heating and cooling maintenance across campus to include chiller and HVAC maintenance, boiler maintenance and other heating/cooling projects across the campus.

Position Description:

Mayville State University is seeking a Grants Administrator to coordinate the full lifecycle of sponsored programs. This position supports faculty and staff in identifying funding opportunities, developing proposals, preparing budgets, administering awards, monitoring compliance and expenditures, preparing reports, and maintaining grant records.

The Grants Administrator works closely with project directors, Finance, Human Resources, and external sponsors to ensure grants are administered accurately, efficiently, and in accordance with sponsor and university requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research federal, state, and private funding opportunities aligned with Mayville State University priorities
  • Assist faculty and staff with proposal development, including timelines, required documents, budgets, budget justifications, and submission procedures
  • Review proposals for compliance with sponsor guidelines and university policies
  • Coordinate the routing, approval, and submission of grant applications

Swim Instructors help swimming students develop comfort in the water and improve their swimming skills. Comet Aquatics is looking for competent and organized swimming teachers to join our learn-to-swim program. Expectations:

  • Ensure the condition of all equipment each time it is use, that equipment is used correctly, and that safety standards are followed during teaching sessions.

  • Assist with athletic department scheduling, recordkeeping, purchasing, and general office operations
  • Support departmental compliance activities and maintenance of required records
  • Assist with fundraising events, sponsorship activities, and donor engagement
  • Help coordinate athletic department promotions, communications, and community outreach
  • Assist with student-athlete programming and special events
  • Work collaboratively with coaches, athletic staff, campus departments, officials, and visiting teams
  • Participate in athletic department meetings and administrative projects
  • Perform other duties related to athletic administration as assigned

Some evening and weekend work will be required based on athletic schedules and special events.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Admission to or enrollment in an eligible graduate program
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
  • Demonstrated interest in collegiate athletics and athletic administration
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to work effectively with students, coaches, employees, visitors, and community members
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar workplace technology
  • Ability and willingness to work evenings and weekends as required

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in athletics, event management, student activities, recreation, communications, business operations, or a related area
  • Career interest in becoming an athletic director or collegiate athletic administrator
  • Knowledge of NAIA or collegiate athletic programs
  • Experience working with student-athletes, athletic events, fundraising, social media, or promotional activities

Position Description & Details:

Mayville State University is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented student to serve as a Student Archives Assistant beginning in the fall semester.

The primary responsibility of this position is to digitize university yearbooks, including scanning, organizing, and accurately naming electronic files. The student will also assist with organizing historical materials and other items stored in the attic of the Larson Center.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Scan and digitize university yearbooks
  • Organize and label electronic files according to established procedures
  • Handle historical materials carefully
  • Assist with sorting and organizing materials in the Larson Center attic
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Current Mayville State University student
